Some Are Calling This 16-Yr-Old Boy’s Prom Gown ‘Vile’
One of the biggest days that we are going to have as a teenager is our prom day. It’s the one day in our lives when we get to dress up and go out for a perfect evening, but things aren’t always exactly what we would expect.
Recently, a young boy named Korben White was making his way to the prom. At 16 years old, it was his time to shine, but most people were not expecting him to wear what he wore.
White posed for the pictures before the prom in a red skirt and sequence-speckled tuxedo top. It went along with his hair, and was perhaps one of the more unique outfits that we’ve ever seen for a young man heading off to the prom.
At age 12 my son announced he wanted to go to his school #prom in a gown. Four years later we made it happen. According to his mother, Nina Green, this was a desire of his since he was 12 years old. She said that ‘he wanted to go to his school prom in a gown.’
Four years later in 2022, the young boy, who goes by the name of Miss Frou Frou decided to make his dream a reality. Green describes her son’s inspiration, saying: “He wanted to go as himself, while expressing his feminine side–with a tuxedo on the top and a dress at the bottom, very much influenced by [American actor] Billy Porter.”
In other words, he ‘wanted to be Korben…but in a dress.’
