People Are Just Watching Grease And Calling It ‘Misogynistic’ And ‘Sexist’

People’s opinions are going to change on a variety of subjects. If there’s one thing that we realize about change, it’s the fact that you will just have to wait a little while before everything changes right before your eyes.

Some change is good and it really does benefit everyone, regardless of whether they are in the middle of it or not. Other changes, however, may be hard to handle or perhaps even unwelcome by most people.

It seems as if that is the case because many people in the young generation are re-watching old movies and shows and giving their opinions. Let’s just say their opinion is not in the majority.

Thinking back to the year 1978, many of us remember watching Grease for the first time at the movie theater. It was a fan favorite and if we had social media back then, it would’ve blown up and gone viral.

The premise behind the movie is not difficult to understand. A boy meets a girl but he acts out like his friends and she leaves him. After he wins a car race, she decides to get really interested and they fly away together.

It also had a lot of music that we still listen to on the radio today. It seems to have embedded itself in our history in many ways.

Some people who are re-watching it, however, are not quite as happy. That includes one person who posted on Twitter: “Rewatching Grease for the first time in years and realizing how problematic it is.”

Another person who watched it as an adult and also watched it as a child had the following to say: “Sorry I loved Grease when I was a kid, however, it’s just too problematic these days.”
