Most people struggle to get this problem right. They usually try to work the problem from left to right but that would be a mistake.

Think, for a moment, back to your school days and all that you learned in math class. To be honest, most of us probably forgot more than we learned.

One of the principles of doing a complicated math problem was the order of operations. This stated that you had to do the multiplication and division before you did addition and subtraction.

Does that make the problem easier? The first thing you do is to multiply 10 x 0, giving you an answer of zero. You can then solve the problem from left to right, just like this:
