The source continued: “He was able to be his true, authentic self and didn’t have any additional voices trying to steer him in a certain direction. This is the most pure version of Justin we’ve ever seen musically.

“This is the first time in Justin’s career where he’s been able to have 100% creative freedom, which is why the music is so honest and vulnerable.”

While Bieber and Braun may no longer be working together, the singer’s former manager heaped praise on him following the release of his new album.

“Been having a beautiful start to the weekend and been getting a lot of texts about how I feel about Justin’s new album… so I will just leave this here,” he penned on Instagram.

“This is, without a doubt, the most authentically Justin Bieber album to date. It’s beautiful, raw, and truly him. And that matter.”
