Justin Bieber allegedly settles $31,500,000 debt with former manager Scooter Braun following new album release

Bieber has seemingly settled a dispute with his former manager, Scooter Braun

Justin Bieber has allegedly settled a $31,500,000 debt with his former manager, Scooter Braun, following the release of his new album.

Bieber recently surprised his fans with the announcement of his new record, titled Swag, which is made up of 21 brand new songs.

The pop star shared a series of Instagram posts to promote the news, with clips featuring billboards of the album cover and its tracklist.

Amid all of that, Bieber has reached a settlement with his former manager Braun, with the ‘Sorry’ singer agreeing to pay $26 million as part of an advance for his Justice Tour, on top of $5.5 million in unpaid commissions.

It was his former manager’s company, HYBE, that initially covered the cost for Bieber when the tour was canceled.

The ‘Baby’ singer agreed to pay Braun and HYBE back in time, but Bieber only ever made a single payment, according to People Magazine.

And Bieber seemingly has no regrets parting with his manager despite the massive financial hit he has taken.

A source close to the music star told Rolling Stone: “Breaking away from Scooter Braun and his team has been something that Justin has wanted for so long, and now that he’s fully free, he could finally share this album with his fans and with the world.

“Having full creative freedom, sadly, is something new for him as an artist. Not having to stress about creating the perfect single, or perfect album, allowed for him to create the best body of music he’s ever made.”
