Luna Jade Gaddis, 4, cut short her trip due to an incident during Storm Helene in North Carolina.
The incident took place in severe weather conditions with heavy rainfall making the roads very slippery.
Luna’s mother and other occupants received care and support, with special attention paid to a few.
The community is supporting the family through social media with messages of comfort.

Her service will be held on October 3, where friends and family will gather to celebrate her life.
