Embarrassed woman on Coldplay kiss cam misidentified by internet sleuths as Astronomer HR exec
Internet sleuths speculated online that the embarrassed woman seen beside Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and his colleague Kristin Cabot as they canoodled at a Coldplay concert was one of their co-workers, Alyssa Stoddard.
However, Page Six can confirm the red-faced woman grimacing as Byron and Cabot hid from jumbotron cameras in apparent shame at the rock band’s Boston-area concert Wednesday night is not Stoddard.
“Alyssa was not there. This is a rumor started on Twitter. There may be some similarities in the countenance of the person, but it’s not [Stoddard],” a rep at a public relations firm hired on behalf of Astronomer tells us Friday. “So [the rumor] is totally false based on misinformation.”
People online have gotten into debates over whether Stoddard is in the video, with one person claiming via TikTok, “That’s not her. I know Alyssa and that is 100% not her.”
Meanwhile, another disputed, “It’s her. We gotta excuse the red face, she was about to feel the true power of embarrassment.”
Page Six has reached out to Stoddard for comment but has not immediately heard back.
Stoddard was seemingly dragged into the scandal because of her close ties to Cabot, who is her boss.
Five months ago, she announced via LinkedIn, “I couldn’t be more excited to announce that I’ve started my next adventure! I’ve joined Kristin Cabot (Thornby) and the amazing People team at Astronomer, leading People Operations and Strategy!”
