Dame Dash recently addressed long-standing rumors that he once tried to pursue Beyoncé. He denied those claims but revealed some behind-the-scenes history from the early Roc-A-Fella days. According to Dame, both he and Jay-Z were interested in Aaliyah at the time, but she ultimately “chose him” (Dame).

He then commented on Jay-Z’s relationship with Beyoncé, calling Jay “cunning” and “slick” in the way he pursued her. Out of respect for Jay, Dame said he intentionally avoids watching Beyoncé’s performances or listening to her music, explaining, “I don’t want to want her.” He shared that he finds her performances too s*xu*l and feels it would be inappropriate, referring to her as his “brother’s” wife.
