An X-ray later released by police and taken at the jail showed at least 13 carrats of diamonds allegedly inside Gilder’s stomach, worth just shy of $800,000.

The arrest report said: “These foreign objects are suspected to be the Tiffany & Co earrings taken in the robbery but will need to be collected by WCSO after they are passed through Gilder’s system prior to confirming.”

I certainly don’t envy the person who gets assigned that task…

While in police custody Gilder reportedly asked jail staff if he was going to be charged for the stuff found in his stomach.

A staffer later claimed they heard the suspect remark he should have simply thrown them out the window.

He has been charged with first-degree grand theft and robbery with a mask.
