Classified CIA documents claim life did exist on Mars and it was a population of “very large people” who built pyramids, according to Daily Mail.

NASA is currently searching for life on Mars, but a CIA document suggests it was discovered 40 years ago. The 1984 report details a CIA experiment where astral projection was used to transport a “subject” to Mars around one million years BC. This was part of Project Stargate, a secret U.S. Army program focused on psychic phenomena like remote viewing.

The subject, exposed to binaural beats and altered states, reported an oblique view of a pyramid and a large road with an Egyptian-like monument. They also saw a population of “very large people” seeking a new home due to environmental collapse. The report describes these people as thin, dressed in strange clothing, and philosophic about their imminent extinction.

The declassified document, released in 2017, also mentions the subject traveling to a violent storm on Mars and witnessing these beings using giant pyramids for shelter. They were described as looking for a way to survive but unable to escape their doomed environment.

The experiment was part of the U.S. government’s efforts to create psychic spies during the Cold War. Project Stargate ended in 1995, after more than a decade of remote viewing operations, including locating hostages and fugitives.
