A Heartwarming Moment at the Wedding

The man looked up at her, and there was something familiar and emotional in his eyes that caught her off guard. He stood up nervously.
“I’m really sorry,” he said, his voice shaking. “I didn’t mean to upset you.”
“And who are you?” Jennifer asked, now both angry and confused.

Before the man could answer, John came over, gently placing a hand on her arm. “Jen, wait,” he said quietly. “There’s something you need to hear.”
Jennifer turned to John, feeling more confused. “What’s happening?”

John took a deep breath, his eyes filled with sadness but also hope. “This is Paul,” he said, pointing to the man in Rowley’s seat. “He has a reason for sitting there.”
Paul stepped forward, locking eyes with Jennifer. “A few months ago, I got a letter. It wasn’t from Rowley himself, but it was about him,” he said, his voice shaking.
Jennifer’s heart started to race. “What are you talking about?” she asked.

Paul took a deep breath, his eyes filling with tears. “Years ago, I was in a terrible accident and needed a heart transplant. I was lucky to receive a donor, and that donor was Rowley, your son.”

Jennifer felt like the world was spinning. She grabbed John’s arm for support. “What do you mean?”

With tears running down his face, Paul said, “Your son saved my life. If it wasn’t for him, I wouldn’t be here today. When I found out about your wedding, I knew I had to come and thank you in person. A part of Rowley is still here, alive through me.”

Jennifer felt weak, and John held her steady. She looked at Paul, seeing his deep gratitude, and emotions flooded her. Tears fell as she stepped closer to him. “So, you’re telling me… you’re alive because of Rowley?” she whispered.
