Massive Cyst Removal — Internet Can’t Look Away
Cysts are non-cancerous, sac-like pockets of tissue that can form anywhere on the body and are often filled with pus, keratin, or other fluid. While many are harmless, larger cysts can become painful, infected, or require surgical removal.
Dr. Sandra Lee, better known as Dr. Pimple Popper, has popularized these types of procedures, turning dermatological content into a viral phenomenon.
“Large cysts, especially epidermoid or sebaceous cysts, can grow over months or even years,” says Dr. Mallory Greene, a board-certified dermatologist. “Surgical removal is often quick, but it must be done in sterile conditions to prevent infection or scarring.”
