Cardi B was asked to weigh in on her accuser’s size during another tense courtroom exchange in the ongoing civil trial over alleged assault.

The rapper was pressed by attorney Ron Rosen about whether former security guard Emani Ellis is “bigger” than Cardi during the assault trial on Wednesday (Aug. 27).

Cardi had explained earlier in the questioning that she and Ellis were “face-to-face” during their heated exchange and called her “security heavy.”

“She looks like she’s a little … like she could protect the building,” Cardi said when asked to elaborate. “She looked more developed than me.”

“ I was 130 pounds at the time” is taking me out 😭😭😭

“You said she’s bigger than you, is that correct?” Rosen asked.

“Absolutely,” Cardi responded.

“How do you know that?” Rosen said.

Cardi silently gestured with her hands, presumably in the direction of the plaintiff, before pointing at her own eyes and saying, “I mean, look.”

Rosen told the rapper he was “looking” but didn’t agree with her observation before asking her to clarify her basis.

“I mean, I was 130 pounds at the time,” Cardi said while moving her hair back and subtly shimmying her shoulders.

When Rosen asked if that meant Ellis was overweight, an objection was sustained before Cardi could fully respond. Further into the questioning, Cardi denied mocking Ellis’ weight or calling her fat.

Cardi is on trial over a 2018 altercation with Ellis, who was working as a security guard at an obstetrics and gynecology facility in Beverly Hills when an alleged confrontation occurred. At the time, the rapper was pregnant with her first child, Kulture.

Ellis claims that Cardi scratched her face with a fingernail that she described as “about two or three inches long,” attempted to swing at her but missed, before body-shaming her, calling her a racial slur, and spitting on her.

Cardi’s legal counsel has disputed the allegations.

Earlier in the day, tensions flared when Rosen pressed Cardi to repeat profanities directly to Ellis’ face. The rapper’s lawyer Peter J. Anderson objected and asked the judge for “civility” in the courthouse.
