Teddi Mellencamp’s family shares update as she ‘continues to recover’ from brain surgery
Teddi Mellencamp has her family by her side as she “continues to recover” from brain surgery.
The 43-year-old “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star revealed in a Feb. 12 Instagram post that she was having two brain tumors surgically removed later that day.
On Feb. 17, Mellencamp’s estranged husband Edwin Arroyave took to his Instagram account to provide an update as Mellencamp’s recovery continues.

“Our family is thankful to everybody for your continued prayers and well wishes,” Arroyave wrote in a post, which was also shared to his Instagram Stories.
“Teddi is beyond grateful for the outpouring of love while she continues to recover,” he added in the brief statement.

Several hours later, Arroyave posted a selfie of him with two of his daughters — Bella, whom he shares with ex Christina Mecklenburg, and Slate, whom he shares with Mellencamp.
“On our way to visit Mom,” he captioned the photo.
Arroyave’s update comes five days after he shared a photo of him standing next to Mellencamp as she layed in her hospital bed.
“Lord, I lift up @teddimellencamp to You. You are the Great Healer, and I ask for Your healing touch upon her body,” he said of his wife, while sharing a biblical quote.
“Restore her strength, renew her spirit, and let her feel Your comforting presence. Grant her peace, hope, and full recovery. In Jesus’ name, Amen,” he continued.
Mellencamp, who met Arroyave in 2009 before marrying him two years later, filed for divorce in November amid rumors of infidelity. She listed their separation date as Oct. 20, according to Us Weekly.
Aside from their 12-year-old daughter Slate, the couple also share a 4-year-old daughter, Dove, and a 10-year-old son, Cruz.
Mellencamp receives hospital visit from her sister
Arroyave wasn’t the only one to take time out of their day to visit Mellencamp in the hospital.
The RHOBH star also received a visit from her younger sister, Justice Mellencamp, who posted a photo of herself sitting alongside her sister’s hospital bed.
“Watching a loved one suffer is horrific,” Justice Mellencamp wrote on her Instagram Stories Feb. 17, per Page Six.
“She is by far the strongest person I know,” she continued. “So many emotions as I travel home today but her village is the best one I’ve ever seen and I’m so grateful for them!”
Teddi and Justice Mellencamp are the daughters of iconic singer-songwriter John Mellencamp and actress Victoria Granucci. The singer also shares three other kids with two other women, per People.
In her Feb. 12 announcement, Teddi Mellencamp said she was “dealing with severe and debilitating headaches” for several weeks before taking her symptoms to the hospital.
“After a CT scan and MRI, doctors found multiple tumors on my brain, which they believe have been growing for at least 6 months,” the RHOBH star wrote on Instagram.
Two of those tumors were removed later that day, while the remaining tumors “will be dealt with via radiation at a later date,” per her post.
Teddi Mellencamp has been vocal about her battle with skin cancer and has claimed to have had 17 spots of melanoma removed over the course of her life. It’s unclear if the melanoma and tumors are related.
