A$AP Rocky Found Not Guilty And He Has A Message For The Jury

It’s not unusual for a celebrity to find themselves in hot water at times. The difference is, it becomes a very public thing when they find themselves in the courtroom.

A$AP Rocky found himself in some hot water after he allegedly fired a handgun in 2021 at his former friend, Terrel Ephron. That day, November 6, 2021, may have been the scene of a scuffle and Rocky pulled the gun and fired it twice at his former friend.

If the allegations were correct, one of the bullets did graze Ephron’s knuckle but he was not hurt seriously. Ephron, who also goes by the name, A$AP Relli was a childhood friend of A$AP Rocky but it was reported that they drifted apart when Rocky became successful.

Joe Tacopina, Rocky’s attorney described Efron as ‘an angry pathological liar’ who ‘committed perjury again and again and again and again’.

If Rocky was convicted, he would have faced 24 years in prison but he was found not guilty by a jury. It happened in a Los Angeles court on February 18, when he received the not guilty verdict.

After the verdict was read, the 36-year-old hip-hop star dove into the gallery to hug his partner and the mother of two children, Rihanna. He then looked at the jury, saying: “Thank y’all for saving my life.”

Rihanna also talked about the verdict on Instagram, saying: “The glory belongs to God and God alone. Thankful, humbled by his mercy!”

Rocky had already turned down an offer of just six months in jail with probation and other conditions but he had to plead guilty to one count. He continued to insist that he was innocent and was certain that the jury would feel the same.
