Man Is Accidentally Paid 330 Times His Salary So He Quits And Disappears

Many of us have to work for a living and we often get tired of the day-to-day drudgery that is associated with it. We may dream of a time when we would not have to come to work any longer, and it may actually become a reality for some people.

What would you do if you woke up and looked at your paycheck in the bank only to find out that you had been paid 330 times more than your usual pay? I can only imagine how shocking it would be, and for many, it would add up to a tidy sum.

There are plenty of people who would take the money and run. Personally, I would be afraid of getting in trouble but it seems as if not everybody feels that way.

One employee in Chile experienced that exact situation but they decided not to straighten it out with the financial institution. They didn’t even let anyone know that there was a mistake, and now the unknown worker is on the lam.

They worked at Consorcio Industrial de Alimentos (Cial) and they have not been named. That company in Chile produces lunch meats.

The worker would typically take home about 500,000 pesos for his work, which is the equivalent of $525. On this particular payday, however, he received 165,398,851 pesos. Do the math, and it is $173,688.79!

After the human resources department found the error, they tried to pull the money and the employee said that they would go to the bank the next morning to ensure it was sent back. When the next day came, the man didn’t show up at the bank, and he didn’t show up at work.

His employers were desperate to call him and they tried via phone, WhatsApp, and text message. They were met with silence and he has been ghosting the company ever since.
