Nobody Edited This Breathtaking Historical Photo

When you look back through history, you never quite know what you’re going to find. This includes the picture that we have for you here, and it is one that was almost lost to history.

Jungle Pam Hardy, an icon in the world of drag racing became the backup girl in the 1970s for the drag racer, Jungle Jim Liberman. She actually became one of the more famous parts of the show.

When Pam met Jungle Jim at the age of 18, he wanted her to go along with him on the drag racing circuit. She agreed and that is when she took on the name Jungle Pam.

As his backup girl, she played an important role in the team. After a burnout, she guided the racecar back in the line ensuring it was lined up properly. She did so with a lot of style as well.

When it comes to 1970s fashion icons, Jungle Pam was somebody who led the list. You would often see her in short shorts, and a tight top, and it seemed as if the show was about her.

Jungle Pam and Jungle Jim were more than racers and 18, they were entertainers. Crowds came to the show, not only to watch the racing but to see them performing on the track.

Unfortunately, Jungle Jim died in a car accident in 1977. Pam decided to step away from racing at that point, although she still remains a figure among those who are big fans.
