Tragic Loss A Mother and Her Young Sons, Aged 7 and 9, Perish While Fleeing a Hurricane’s Wave
A Lot
On a sunny Friday afternoon, Alison, Knox, Felix and Lucas were leaving their home in Green Mountain, North Carolina, when the day suddenly turned tumultuous.

Helene was approaching fast and the water was rising rapidly. Like many others, they hoped to escape the floods safely by leaving their homes.

At first, leaving their home seemed like a good idea, but soon they were overtaken by flooding, making things even more difficult.

When their vehicle began to float in the water, they decided to return home for safety.

Unfortunately, despite their attempt to defy the strong forces of nature, they came into contact with the powerful currents of the Toe River which was rising rapidly due to heavy rains.

What started as a valiant attempt to protect their family quickly turned into an unexpected ordeal of epic proportions.

The Quest
After the incident, an intensive search was carried out for the family members with the help of emergency services, local residents and volunteers to safely find Alison, Knox, Felix and Lucas.

On October 4th, Alison was found in Tennessee, on October 4th, Felix and Lucas were thankfully found unharmed and safe.

On October 7, Amanda Knox, who had been missing, was also found, ending the search.

While there are no words that can ease the intense pain and grief, survivors take comfort in the fact that they were together and supported each other until the very end.

In a moving statement, Knox’s sister, Briana Petrucci Yarbrough, emphasized how her brother always inspired others with his sincere attitude toward life and how he set an example of selflessness and kindness to all who knew him.

Knox was always there for his friends, whom he considered his family. His unconditional love, understanding and acceptance of others inspired all those around him, helping them grow and flourish in his loving presence.

“He brought the community together by always looking for deep, meaningful connections,” she said admiringly.

Love and Devotion
Alison Wisely was not only a mother; she served as a shining example of love and care for her children, Felix and Lucas. Together with her former partner Lance Wisely, she devoted herself to raising their children with unconditional love and devotion.

Lance, a caring father of two boys, shared a profound message about life and his family, expressing his appreciation and love for his loved ones.

Dear friends and loved ones, it is with great sadness that I announce the passing of our pets Felix, Lucas, Aly and Knox.

The loss of a young mother, a devoted father figure and two innocent boys leaves a huge void. Their lives were filled with dreams and their love radiated to others.

The community of Green Mountain feels a deep void after the loss of this family, especially as Alison and Knox were preparing for their November 9th wedding. This makes the story even more emotional.

The joyful day is now overshadowed by deep reflection and a poignant sense of loss that permeates the atmosphere.

Community and Collaboration
The story of Alison, Knox, Felix and Lucas has made a deep impression and has led to an outpouring of support within and beyond the local community following the loss of their beloved family.

The Carolina Memorial Sanctuary is offering to cover the family’s funeral costs, which will help ease the pain of the bereaved.
A GoFundMe campaign has been set up in honour of Alison, Knox, Felix and Lucas and in support of those affected by Storm Helene.

The campaign keeps the memory of this family alive and symbolizes hope and togetherness.

People from all over the country help to ease the pain and commemorate their lives.

“Communities come together in difficult times, love and care are our strength.”

The Destructive Force
Storm Helene has affected many people and is one of the most devastating storms in recent years.

The flooding and storm winds devastated towns in the southeastern US.

Work continues to repair damage in areas such as western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, weeks after the storm.

Helene realized the power of nature when she saw a sudden storm.

Government officials and emergency services are working hard to repair the damage, but the memories of the storm will last a long time.

The Indefinable Emptiness
