In February, Jackson shared his excitement about the growing family on social media, expressing joy for his daughter Mattie and her husband, Connor Smith. Reflecting on his extensive 30-year career, the 65-year-old artist mentioned, “I’ve played everywhere and had a wonderful career,” but now feels it’s time to focus on home as his daughters are grown and he has grandchildren to cherish.

His tour, titled “Last Call: One More for the Road,” will kick off on August 2, 2025. Jackson also noted that he has Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, a condition affecting his mobility, which has influenced his retirement decision. “I want to think about maybe calling it quits before I’m unable to do the job like I want to,” he explained.
